A glorious opportunity tonight. Clear sky for watching the full moon rise in the south eastern sky. I am sure she is smiling.

It fascinates me to see the moon go from a big, round pale yellow with a well defined face as long as it is low on the horizon, to a small, white object when it is higher in the night sky.

Does it have anything to do with distance?
